The Colwyn Bay branch of the Women’s Institute participated in the recent Empty Shop Windows scheme, decorating the shop window of 15 Abergele Road, previously the Eternal Flame shop.
The shop window is in a prime location, on the main through-road of the town which sees many people, cars and buses going past every day.
The Women’s Institute chose the theme of Empty Shops to support the group’s national campaign Save Our Streets, which aims to encouraging people to support their local shops and reverse the trend of empty shops appearing on high streets.
Their window display contained strong campaign posters and information on empty shops around Colwyn Bay, with Christmas-themed decorations to finish it off.
